Samuel Gituro is a Program and Administration Manager with the Development Strategy and Governance Unit, based in Nairobi. He has a decade of experience in program management and strategic planning in international development, and has worked on diverse projects spanning agriculture, governance, and sustainability and is proficient in capacity building, coordination of cross-functional teams, and stakeholders engagement. Samuel is fluent in English, French, and Swahili, with multi-country experience across Africa. Prior to joining IFPRI, he worked with agritech start-ups to scale up production of insect-based alternative sources of proteins for human and animal consumption. He obtained a master’s degree in Development Economics and International Project Management from Université Paris 12, France, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
