Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

Awarded ‘Ghosh Memorial Prize’for a joint paper on “Incidence of eco-taxes in India – a Social Accounting Based Approach,” presented at 19th conference of Input-Output Research Association of India at Gokhle Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune.

Pramod Joshi

PK Joshi received the ISAE Honorary Fellow award at the 51st Annual Convention of the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE). Dr. Joshi received this award for his “significant contributions in advocating the cause of agricultural engineering in general and agricultural mechanization in particular in South Asian region.” At the event, Dr. Joshi also delivered a keynote speech on “Farm Mechanization and Climate-Smart Agriculture.”

Mateusz Filipski

Mateusz Filipski (IFPRI) and Ben Belton (Michigan State University) won the Best Conference Paper Award from the 9th China Agricultural Economic Review (CAER) – IFPRI Annual Conference, held in Beijing, China. Their paper’s title is “Give a Man a Pond – Modeling the Impacts of Aquaculture in the Rural Economy”.

Shenggen Fan

Shenggen Fan won the 2017 Fudan Management Excellence Award. Founded by Fudan Premium Fund of Management, the award is referred to as the “Nobel Prize for Management” in China, which distinguishes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field of management.
