Electronic Dialogue on the Unified National Agricultural Market

September 9 to 10, 2015

  • 4:00 – 11:00 pm (UTC)
  • 12:00 – 7:00 pm (US/Eastern)
  • 9:30 – 4:30 am (Asia/Kolkata)

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) invites you to participate in a second electronic dialogue to be held from 9 to 10 September 2015 and hosted on the India Food Security Portal homepage. This electronic dialogue will focus on the recently proposed “Unified National Agricultural Market” and its inclusion of smallholder farmers.

The objectives of the India FSP are to provide strengthened policy research, capacity-building resources, and an active and inclusive policy network that is fostered through interactive dialogues on food security. FSP looks in detail at a set of states (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Bihar) that provide different levels of endowments and also follow a different economic growth path.

This electronic dialogue complements ongoing dialogues hosted by IFPRI and the supporting institutions in the target states that cover a range of timely issues. The purpose of the electronic dialogues is to exchange experiences and generate ideas that foster targeted food-security policies and investments in India.

More information is available on the India Food Security Portal website.
