Success in ending hunger and undernutrition depends on country-owned and country-led strategies and investments. On October 4, 2017, the International Food Policy Research Institute organized two events in Dhaka, Bangladesh, bringing together stakeholders to discuss the critical poverty, hunger, and malnutrition issues that the country faces and chart a path forward to accelerate progress.

High-level stakeholders convened for the Compact2025 Bangladesh Roundtable Discussion. The forum highlighted ongoing partnerships between Compact2025 and the Government of Bangladesh toward establishing a Knowledge and Innovation (K&I) Hub in the country. The Governance Innovation Unit (GIU) of the Prime Minister’s Office will act as the platform for the K&I Hub, which will support the GIU’s research and analytical capacity, conduct joint research on priority areas and advocate for evidence-based policies and programs for ending hunger and undernutrition.
