Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

High Quality Data Vital for Developing Countries (Ghana Business News)

Ghana Business News covered an IFPRI workshop, titled “Enhancing the use of Agricultural Science and Technology Indicators (ASTI) Data for Analysis and Policy Influencing Stakeholders”, held in Accra. In the article, Research Fellow, Kwaw Andam, explained the importance of timely, high-quality data on agricultural research and development, especially for lower middle-income countries such as Ghana. Dr. Andam said effectiveness of policies adopted by the country’s decision-makers depends heavily on reliable data.
