Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

Why Eastern India Needs a Green Revolution (Financial Express)

India’s Financial Express published an op-ed co-authored by IFPRI’s South Asia Director P. K. Joshi and Research Analyst Md. Tajuddin Khan on the need for agricultural reforms in eastern India to improve food security and reduce poverty. In the article, Joshi explained that a large fraction of the population in eastern India is dependent on farming for food and livelihood, and green revolution would help in making agriculture more profitable and resilient to climate change.
