Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

India’s Hunger Levels “Serious” (Scroll.in)

India’s Scroll.in, a news portal, published an article on the Global Hunger Index 2017 highlighting the country’s performance on the index. The report noted India has a “serious” hunger problem and ranks behind countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Iraq and North Korea, largely driven by higher rates of child malnutrition. The report ran in multiple news sources.
