India’s Mint published a feature on 2018 The Global Food Policy Report, with a specific focus on the impacts of climate change on food security in South Asia. The report states, “increasing climatic variability, extreme weather events, and rising temperatures pose challenges to food and nutrition security in the region.” It also predicts that South Asian countries will reform their agricultural systems and strengthen linkages with global food value chains, in 2018.
