Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

China’s demand for food a boon for Southeast Asian exporters (China Daily)

China Daily published a news report on the recent 2018 Global Food Policy Report (GFPR) launch in Beijing. Emphasizing on the growing opportunities for regional trade, the report also underlined the rising protectionism around the world. IFPRI Director-General, Shenggen Fan, quoted in the news article, offered additional analysis, pointing out the importance of free trade in improving global food security and nutrition.
