Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

Change food production and stop abusing land, major climate report warns (CNN)

CNN reported on the findings of the 2019 IPCC report, which highlighted the vicious cycle of climate change and land degradation, with a focus on food production. The article quoted Deputy Director of the Environment and Production Technology Division (EPTD), Claudia Ringler, who noted that biofuels are not a scalable solution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
