Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

Stop panic buying and export bans to prevent a food crisis (China Daily)

Global Edition – China Daily published an op-ed by Emeritus Senior Fellow Shenggen Fan. The op-ed encourages people and communities not to panic during the COVID-19 pandemic. Panic hurts the poor and it is with global collaboration by the UN as well as international organizations, institutions, multilateral development banks, donors and civil society that will help solve food insecurity in vulnerable populations.
