Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

Food Business News published an extensive interview with Senior Research Fellow Joseph Glauber who stated, “the two foremost issues confronting US exporters of agricultural products in the coming months are whether China meets its purchase commitments under the phase one trade agreement and what effect the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will have on world trade.” He provides various scenarios for how the world can prepare and overcome possible global food insecurity.
