Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

A silver lining amidst COVID-19 pandemic (Citizen TV)

Citizen TV (Kenya) published an article on the improvement of the environment. The earth is breathing again and its link to the ongoing global health emergency is no coincidence or stuff of fate. IFPRI’s 2020 Global Food Policy Report (GFPR) was referenced. The article stated warnings from the GFPR of irreversible ecosystem losses should climate change, deforestation, land degradation and water pollution becomes the norm.
