Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Eastday.com published an article on the 12th CAER-IFPRI conference.  The conference brought together internationally from 5 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Cameroon, and Eritrea, as well as 28 higher education institutions or research institutes including China Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, and Zhejiang University. Shenggen Fan believes that the entry of urban capital, technology, and resources will also provide continuous impetus for the development of rural industries.
