Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

Gov’t program to boost consumer spending goes live (Enterprise)

Enterprise published an article on the official figures being used by the government. Egypt has taken the data from Impact of COVID-19 on the Egyptian economy: Economic sectors, jobs, and households. The IFPRI team’s COVID-19 multiplier impact estimate for Egypt Q4 (April to June) together with the Ministry of Planning with their Q1-3 estimates presented preliminary official figures (MENA Policy note 6, Impact of COVID-19 on the Egyptian economy: Economic sectors, jobs, and households).
