Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

The Guardian (Nigeria) published an article in the business section provided comments from experts at the International Support Network for African Development (ISNAD-Africa) that tougher times await developing economies if policymakers fail to design and implement friendly, environmental economic recovery plans. In Nigeria, according to IFPRI, the lockdown alone caused Nigeria’s GDP to suffer a 34.1 percent loss, amounting to $16 billion.
