Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

US revives WTO grain import quota case as China lags behind in commitments to buy American farm goods (MSN)

MSN published an article on the trade relationship between the United States and China. A long-running dispute between the United States and China over Beijing’s import controls on rice, wheat, and corn has been reignited at the World Trade Organization (WTO), adding to trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies. Senior research fellow, Joseph Glauber wrote, “Whether the experience of 2020 marks a turnaround in TRQ administration and increased Chinese market access for grain exporters will depend largely on Chinese demand and Chinese domestic support policies.” Republished in Intellasia
