Ukraine war increasing global food insecurity, experts say (Agri-Pulse)

April 07, 2022

Agri-Pulse published an article detailing talking points from a recent webinar. Agri-pulse writes that panelists at the webinar believe the war in Ukraine will increase food insecurity around the world, especially in countries heavily dependent on wheat imports from that country and Russia, and push food prices even higher. Senior research fellow Joseph Glauber stated that “Supply chains have to be kept fully operational, export restrictions must be avoided and even condemned. Luckily, to date we haven’t seen as many export restrictions as we have in the past.”
