Food crisis. Will rice exports from India be banned? (Movies Online)

June 21, 2022

Movies Online published an article on the global food crisis. The article goes into detail about export restrictions that many countries are placing on markets in their own countries. India has placed some export restrictions in place. Division director Paul Dorosh (DSDG) said if India imposes strict restrictions on rice exports, it will be disastrous. This was said as a warning, explaining that poorer countries depend on imports. Dorosh added that he is concerned that any restrictions on exports will not end with India. A single decision can lead to a chain reaction. As a result, others will do something similar to protect their home markets.
