Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

According to a new study released by the FAO Investment Centre and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), there is growing evidence that when you invest in farmers, especially the youth in farming, their capacity and motivation to produce food profitably and sustainably increases, writes Farmers Review Africa in a piece on capacity strengthening. The hands-on approach is increasingly unlocking agribusiness potential for many.
