Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Opeyemi Olanrewaju

Research Analyst

Bio

Opeyemi Olanrewaju is a Research Analyst in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in Nigeria. His research focuses on youth employment, technology adoption, agricultural finance, and food security. He seeks to contribute to policy discussions on sustainable rural livelihoods, rural digital technology adoption, and food security. Prior to joining IFPRI, Opeyemi worked with CoAmana Ltd. as a Field Researcher, where he contributed extensively to several agricultural value chain assessments. He also served as a Research Fellow under the Enhancing Capacity to Apply Research Evidence project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Opeyemi holds a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
