Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Brice Tchinde

Research Analyst

Bio

Brice Tchinde is a Research Analyst with the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit, based in Dakar. Prior to joining IFPRI, Brice worked at the Senegal Institute for Agricultural Research’s (ISRA) Bureau for Macroeconomic Analysis (BAME), for the NRC (Norwegian Refugee Council), in the field of data collection, and for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21). He has also previously worked for AKADEMIYA2063, where he provided support for economic modeling; data collection, analysis, and visualization; and other technical statistics support related to the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war and COVID-19 on African countries. Brice graduated from the National School of Statistics and Economic Analysis in Dakar, Senegal, and obtained a master’s degree in Management and Business Administration from the University of Yaounde II.
