Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Anindya Tomar is a Research Analyst in the Nutrition, Diets, and Health Unit and works in IFPRI’s South Asia Regional Office in New Delhi, India. He primarily works on the CGIAR Research Initiative on Transforming Agrifood Systems in South Asia (TAFSA). Before joining IFPRI, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Development Economics, Delhi School of Economics. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi.
