Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Bio

Md. Wahidul Amin is a Senior Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation, in the HarvestPlus section of the Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit, and Country Coordinator for HarvestPlus, Bangladesh. Wahidul has 20 years experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), project design, project management, and grant management in national and international research and development organizations. He helped to design the overall M&E system operational framework of the CSISA-BD project with three CGIAR members. Since 2007, he has worked in the CGIAR system in knowledge management, including eight years with HarvestPlus and previously eight years with IRRI. He received his MSc in Plant Pathology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Bangladesh, and a BS in Agriculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh.
