Kalyani Raghunathan

Kalyani Raghunathan is Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit, based in New Delhi, India. Her research lies at the intersection of agriculture, gender, social protection, and public health and nutrition, with a specific focus on South Asia and Africa.

Full Programme

World Water Week, organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), is the annual focal point for the globe’s water issues.

This year’s theme, “Water for Sustainable Growth”, will focus on the inclusive use of this important resource for societal and human growth in all regions of the world. The event will also follow up on the implementation of the water related SDGs and the new climate agreement.

IFPRI researchers will organize and participate in the following sessions at World Water Week 2016:

Enabling investment in irrigation in sub-Saharan Africa, convened by IFPRI in cooperation with the International Water Management Institute, International Development Enterprises and United States Agency for International Development.

WEF Nexus platform: Achieving the Water, Energy and Food SDGs, convened by IFPRI in cooperation with Asian Development Bank, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Global Water Partnership, International Union for Conservation of Nature, International Water Management Institute, OCP Policy Center, Stockholm Environment Institute, Texas A&M University, The World Bank Group, and World Wide Fund for Nature.
