Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

IFPRI-Sudan is organizing a capacity building workshop on food policy analysis using multi-market partial equilibrium modeling. This three-day training event will be held at the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in Khartoum, Sudan and will be led by IFPRI’s Paul Dorosh and Khalid Siddig.

This workshop falls within one of the overall objectives of IFPRI-Sudan capacity strengthening agenda of building modeling community of practice. Specific objectives of this workshop are to develop the analytical research capacities of participants in areas of multi-market modeling, as well as to enhance quantitative assessment capacities of participants to engage in shaping the policy debate on the reform alternatives.
