Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Juneweenex Mbuthia

Research Officer

Bio

Juneweenex Mbuthia is a Research Officer in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. Her research interests include agricultural economics, gender, policy research and analysis, impact evaluation, health economics, and development. Before joining IFPRI, she was an Economic Researcher at the Kenya Institute for Public Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) in Nairobi, Kenya. She also worked at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics as a field supervisor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Karatina University and a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi.
