A COP27 Side Event at the NDC Partnership Pavilion, Area C, Zone 2

Organized by USAID, IFPRI, MSU, & NDCP

Monday November 14th, 2022 – 11:00AM to 12:00PM EET

In response to the global call for increased mitigation and adaptation support, The Comprehensive Action for Climate Change (CACCI) was launched by USAID in partnership with local and regional organizations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. The now global initiative provides support for the design and implementation of NDCs, NAPs, climate policies and programmatic investment plans that support sustainable and inclusive growth and address climate mitigation and adaptation. Through the experience of CACCI and country level partnerships this event highlights country and regional priorities; approaches to aligning climate and development goals; the need for a country ownership and a country led approach; gaps and opportunities for engagement in the implementation of investment plans. It provides an example of how to work collaboratively across different sectors and the need to facilitate cross Ministerial dialogues for effective climate policy implementation.
