Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

IFPRI is participating in the 31st Conference of Agricultural Economists organized by the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE). The (IAAE) is a worldwide association of agricultural economists and others concerned with agricultural economic problems, including problems related to the use of renewable resources and the environment.

Highlights of this virtual conference include a session on the COVID 19 Pandemic: Lessons and Implications, Prospects for realizing Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, issues of trade, policy reforms, climate change, water and the rising importance of Digital Agriculture.
