June 13, 2019

  • 11:00 – 12:45 pm (Europe/Berlin)
  • 5:00 – 6:45 am (US/Eastern)
  • 2:30 – 4:15 pm (Asia/Kolkata)

IFPRI is participating in the 2019 NDC Conference.

The Global NDC Conference 2019 aims to inspire and enable policy makers and practitioners to accelerate the pace and scale of transformational change through NDC implementation in order to reach the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement.

The Global NDC Conference 2019 provides practical support on how to finance, implement and update NDCs as well as enhance climate transparency systems. It is inspired by country action, the efforts of the NDC Partnership and the outcomes of the Talanoa Dialogue. It is guided by the current global climate policy discussions taking place, at the 10th Petersberg Climate Dialogue, at the International Conference on Climate Action, among others. Grounded in the findings of the IPCC Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 °C, this conference contributes to the necessary increase in global ambition for greenhouse gas reductions.

Conference participants share their own cases of transformative and inclusive climate actions in the fields of integrated governance, finance mobilisation and transparency.
