Carlo Azzarri

Carlo Azzarri is a Senior Research Fellow in the Innovation Policy and Scaling Unit. His work focuses on the relationships among poverty, nutrition, food security, agriculture, the environment, production, and migration—analyzed at both micro and macroeconomic levels, primarily using quantitative methods.

The 2022 Global Food Policy Report, IFPRI’s flagship report, highlights the urgency of accelerating innovation, reforming policies, resetting, market incentives, and increasing financing for sustainable food systems transformation. It sets forth a broad range of policy options for accelerated action by policymakers as well as international forums for policy and investment decision-making.

This event will feature a high-level panel discussion on IFPRI’s 2022 Global Food Policy Report on a range of choices to be made by policymakers, policy practitioners, farmers, small and large businesses, and society as a whole to move our climate and food systems in the right direction. The event will also highlight the policy components of the CGIAR initiatives in Nigeria.
