Kate Ambler

Kate Amber is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit. Kate’s research broadly focuses on interventions that can increase incomes for smallholders and other microenterprises in agrifood value chains, with a specific focus on the inclusion of women. This includes work on programming in fragile settings, innovations in agricultural finance, and regulatory solutions for food safety.

Agri-economist Mahendra Dev appointed Vice-Chairman of IFPRI board (The Hindu Business Line)

The Hindu Business Line reported that IFPRI has appointed Mahendra Dev to vice-chairman of the board of trustees. Dev, who currently serves as the director and vice-chancellor of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) in Mumbai, has dedicated his career to agriculture development, poverty and public policy, and food security. He has been an IFPRI board member since 2013.
