Nutrition Insight published an article on ending hunger. Global hunger rates are on the rise, despite the UN’s aim to achieve SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by 2030. This is the primary concern raised in the 2020 State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) report. A joint project by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), IFPRI, and Cornell University), The Ceres2030: Sustainable Solutions to End Hunger project used data from the UN report to highlight that an additional US$10 billion is urgently needed to prevent millions more people becoming food insecure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
