Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

Farm sector projected to grow at 5% in Q4 (Business Standard)

In a report on higher-than expected economic growth in India’s agriculture sector, the Business Standard quoted IFPRI South Asia Office Director PK Joshi for analysis. “I feel [the Central Statistics Office] might have been slightly cautious in estimating full-year agriculture GDP growth, as the situation on the ground is good, which will be positive for farmers as well,” Joshi said.
