Kate Ambler

Kate Amber is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit. Kate’s research broadly focuses on interventions that can increase incomes for smallholders and other microenterprises in agrifood value chains, with a specific focus on the inclusion of women. This includes work on programming in fragile settings, innovations in agricultural finance, and regulatory solutions for food safety.

China Value published an article reporting on the 11th International Conference on Agricultural Trade Policy and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center jointly organized by the Organization (OECD) was held in Beijing. In the keynote speech session of the conference, Shenggen Fan, former director general, gave a speech on the development of global food security and nutrition in 2019. Dr. Fan emphasized the current global challenges in food security, nutrition and health. He pointed out that the agricultural food system is the key to achieving food security and nutrition.
