Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

Food insecurity, poverty may escalate (Yahoo India)

Yahoo India reported on the launch of the 2020 Global Food Policy Report (GFPR). The 2020 GFPR warns food insecurity, malnutrition and poverty may escalate, particularly among marginalized people in the developing world due to the rapid spread of coronavirus. The Report also stated that policymakers must focus on building a more resilient, climate-smart, inclusive and healthy food systems that can help people withstand these types of shocks.
