May 29, 2022

Itn (China) published an article stating that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has plunged the global food crisis into the abyss, and countries have launched a food defense war. According to the latest data from IFPRI, as of May 28, more than 20 countries around the world have implemented food export restrictions, including Egypt, Argentina, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran and Turkey. The items cover wheat, corn, flour, tomato, vegetable oil, beans, chicken, etc. These bans continue to push up global food prices and exacerbate inflation concerns.
