How Pertamina Supports Food Security during the Pandemic (Sindo News.com)

September 15, 2020

Sindo News published an article stating that world organizations such as FAO, IFPRI, and the UN warned that the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to a new food crisis, which affects the food security of a country, especially poor and developing countries. Since 2019, PT Pertamina Integrated Terminal Makassar has embraced the community, especially housewives, to take advantage of yards and vacant land around residential areas, using hydroponic cultivation techniques and organic plants on available land. This activity is located in Tamalabba Village, Ujung Tanah District, Makassar City, which currently has 2 KWTs, namely Bahari Sigalu and Dewa Kembar. Both of them innovate and develop their creativity in agriculture.
