Agnes Quisumbing

Agnes Quisumbing is a Senior Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit. She co-leads a research program that examines how closing the gap between men’s and women’s ownership and control of assets may lead to better development outcomes.

Maize prices hit record low (The Times)

The Times (Malawi) published an article on where maize prices stood in June. Prices hit a record low. According to the latest IFPRI Maize Market Report, less than 10 percent of farmers who sold maize in June received a price equal to or greater than the minimum farm gate price.
