Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

The Financial Express (India) featured an op-ed by Research Analyst Sunil Saroj, Senior Research Fellow Devesh Roy, and Mamata Pradhan of Cornell University on India’s Minister of Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman’s plans for the agriculture sector. Throughout history, it has been shown that incentives create the jumping-off point for change. The authors provide multiple examples of the importance of incentives for policies to succeed. They suggest that Sitharaman consider incentives. Republished in Yahoo India.
