“The skeptical ecologist”, revisited (Gatondonte)

January 22, 2021

The Gatodonte published a blog post that looks at “The Skeptical Ecologist.” Twenty years have passed since The Skeptical Ecologist (2001) was published. The book looked at various issues involving agriculture, nutrition, and poverty in developing countries. The book looked at crop productivity and referenced IFPRI’s research and findings that estimated that production will increase by 41 percent between 1993 and 2020, but cultivated land will only increase by 5.5 percent.
