Kate Ambler

Kate Amber is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit. Kate’s research broadly focuses on interventions that can increase incomes for smallholders and other microenterprises in agrifood value chains, with a specific focus on the inclusion of women. This includes work on programming in fragile settings, innovations in agricultural finance, and regulatory solutions for food safety.

Workshop on capacity building in agricultural trade (The Hindu)

The Hindu (India) summarized a two-day capacity-building program to acquaint young researchers and policy analysts in the areas of agricultural trade and to highlight the contemporary challenges in the global, regional, and local agriculture sectors with an emphasis on the practical training sessions. The workshop was co-sponsored by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), a New Delhi-based think-tank, in collaboration with Pondicherry University and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
