Kate Ambler

Kate Amber is a Senior Research Fellow in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit. Kate’s research broadly focuses on interventions that can increase incomes for smallholders and other microenterprises in agrifood value chains, with a specific focus on the inclusion of women. This includes work on programming in fragile settings, innovations in agricultural finance, and regulatory solutions for food safety.

World Agriculture Day: Institute seeks review of curricula in agricultural universities (Vanguard)

In celebration of World Agriculture Day, (June 11), Nigerian newspaper Vanguard published a report summarizing the work Senior Research Fellow, George Mavrotas, has completed in the country. In the report, Mavrotas explains the importance of improving university curriculum, particularly in the country’s agricultural universities, in preparing the next generation of agriculture entrepreneurs.
