Emily Schmidt is a Senior Research Fellow in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. Her most recent research explores household livelihood strategies in Papua New Guinea, including linkages between agriculture, poverty, and nutrition outcomes among rural smallholder farmers.

IFPRI currently has more than 600 employees working in over 80 countries with a wide range of local, national, and international partners.
Insa Diop is a Research Analyst in IFPRI’s Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit, based in Dakar, where he assists senior researchers in developing and maintaining AGRODEP’s library of technical resources (models and databases). Prior to joining IFPRI, Insa worked at The Senegalese Institute for Agricultural Research (ISRA) in the Macro-economics Analysis Office (BAME). He also worked on the Indicator of Durability of Collective Agricultural Farmers (IDEAC) project and on the impact evaluation of two agricultural projects: Support Program for Agricultural Development and Rural Equipment (PADAER) and Food Security Assistance Program (PASA), where he provided technical support for economic modeling, survey design, and data analysis.
