Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Bio

Emerence Mukangabo is a Senior Research Analyst in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit, based in IFPRI’s office in Kigali, Rwanda. Her research interests include food and nutrition security, rural development, agriculture, and gender. Prior to joining IFPRI, Emerence was a research consultant working with the CGIAR research centers in Rwanda.  She holds a master’s degree in Management of Development with a specialization in Rural Development and Food Security from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
