Khalid Siddig

Khalid Siddig is a Senior Research Fellow in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit and Program Leader for the Sudan Strategy Support Program. He is an agricultural economist with a focus on examining the impacts of potential shocks and the allocation of resources on economic growth, environmental sustainability, and income distribution through the lens of economywide and micro-level tools.

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), one of fifteen CGIAR Research Centers, is a research-for-development organization, that provides solutions to hunger, poverty, and the degradation of natural resources in Africa. IITA works with international and national partners to improve livelihoods, enhance food and nutrition security, increase employment, and preserve natural resource integrity. IITA focuses on areas such as biotechnology and genetic Improvement, and natural resource management.
