Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

IFPRI’s Director General Johan Swinnen is participating in the 15th annual Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA). GFFA is an international conference on central issues of vital importance for global agricultural and food policies.

The 2023 GFFA will address the issue “Food Systems Transformation: A Worldwide Response to Multiple Crises”. With the 2030 Agenda, the international community has set itself ambitious Sustainable Development Goals, such as ending global hunger. This conference will build on the UN Food Systems Summit and aims to promote discussion and explore possible ways for global and national collaboration.
