Liangzhi You

Liangzhi You is a Senior Research Fellow and theme leader in the Foresight and Policy Modeling Unit, based in Washington, DC. His research focuses on climate resilience, spatial data and analytics, agroecosystems, and agricultural science policy. Gridded crop production data of the world (SPAM) and the agricultural technology evaluation model (DREAM) are among his research contributions.

IFPRI is pleased to participate in this year’s Micronutrient Forum 6th Global Conference, being held at the World Forum in The Hague October 16–20, with a focus on “Nutrition for Resilience (N4R)”. As the world faces multiple, complex, and cascading challenges that threaten nutrition and micronutrient security, this conference will bring together diverse delegates from many sectors and disciplines to advance evidence-based agendas for better nutrition and resilience. The event aims to advance integrated research and strengthen policy dialogues that can accelerate progress toward global nutrition and development goals. Two large-scale IFPRI led CGIAR research initiatives on nutrition  Fruit and Vegetables for Sustainable Healthy Diets (FRESH) and Sustainable Healthy Diets (SHiFT) will be featured, and Harvest Plus, which has been providing biofortification solutions for twenty years, will feature its progress and future plans. A large number of IFPRI researchers will be contributing to the conference sessions and look forward to engaging with nutrition experts from around the world!
