Kalyani Raghunathan

Kalyani Raghunathan is Research Fellow in the Poverty, Gender, and Inclusion Unit, based in New Delhi, India. Her research lies at the intersection of agriculture, gender, social protection, and public health and nutrition, with a specific focus on South Asia and Africa.

93 lakh more children likely to suffer from wasting between 2020-2022: Study (The Hindu)

The Hindu published an article stating that an additional 93 lakh children under five are likely to suffer from wasting, 26 lakh more from stunting, while there will be an estimated 1.68 lakh additional under-five deaths in the first three years of the post-COVID-19 world, estimates a new study authored by various international development organizations including IFPRI and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. It is at the preprint stage and is under consideration for publication in the Nature Research Journal.
